How is the price calculated?
We price edge-to-edge quilting by area: width × length of your finished top, times a per-square-inch rate that depends on the design density you choose. There's a $50.00 minimum on the quilting charge. Our instant quote tool shows your fully itemized total before you commit to anything.
New to this — what do Light, Standard, and Dense mean?
It's all about how close together the quilting stitches sit. Light has more space between the lines, so the quilt stays soft and drapey (and costs the least). Dense packs lots of stitching close together for a flatter, crisper, sturdier finish. Standard sits right in the middle and looks great on almost any quilt — if you're unsure, start there. The calculator shows a little preview of each so you can see the difference.
What is MonoPoly thread (the “match my quilt” option)?
When you pick “Match my quilt,” we quilt with MonoPoly — a premium, near-invisible monofilament thread. If you've heard horror stories about old “invisible” thread, set them aside: MonoPoly is nothing like the stiff, wiry nylon monofilament of decades past. It's a fine, soft polyester that's heat-safe — you can press and iron your quilt normally, and it won't melt, yellow, or turn brittle over time. Because it blends with every color in your top, you get all the texture of the quilting with no thread color competing with your fabric. It's our go-to for scrappy and multi-color quilts.
What's the free embroidered quilt label?
It's our favorite touch — a custom label embroidered right onto the back of your quilt, free with every order. Add a quilt name, who made it, a date, and a short message at checkout. It's the perfect finishing detail for gifts and heirlooms, and no other longarm service includes it. Not sure what to put? You can fill it in later — we'll email you before we start.
Do you have a deal for baby quilts?
We do! Any edge-to-edge quilt up to about 42″ × 60″ (2,500 sq in) is a single flat $55 — with premium batting, thread, a free embroidered label, and free return shipping all included. It's our most popular option for crib, play-mat, and baby quilts.
What's included in the price?
A lot! Every quote includes a free custom embroidered quilt label, premium Hobbs 80/20 batting, all thread in a coordinating color, loading and squaring your top, and free fully-insured return shipping. You only pay extra for optional upgrades like we-supply-the-backing, rush, or a prepaid inbound label.
How do I get my quilt to you?
We're a mail-in service. Add a prepaid inbound label at checkout and we'll email you a print-ready label — just drop your package at any post office. Or use your own carrier and ship to the address on your order confirmation. Either way, your finished quilt comes back to you with free insured return shipping.
How should I prepare my quilt top?
Remove all pins and embellishments (a stray pin can break a needle), press your top well, and trim loose threads. If you're sending your own backing, make it about 4″ larger than the top on all four sides; if we supply the backing, just send the top. Don't baste the layers, and if your top has no border, stay-stitch the edges. Mark the top edge if your design is directional, then seal it in a plastic bag inside a sturdy box. The complete do's-and-don'ts checklist — which you can print — is on our Prep Guide page.
Do I need to send batting and backing?
Batting is included free, so you never need to send it (you can if you'd like a specific brand). Backing is most often supplied by you — or choose a coordinating wide backing from our shop right in the quote tool and we'll seam it for you.
How long does it take?
Our standard turnaround is a firm 2 weeks from when your quilt arrives. Need it sooner? Add rush at checkout and we'll have it finished within 5 business days. You can track every step online.
Is there a waitlist?
Never. Unlike many longarm services, we don't run monthly sign-up windows or waitlists. Book any day of the year and your spot is reserved the moment you check out.
Can I track my quilt?
Yes — and it's one of our favorite features. Every order moves through Received → On the frame → Quilting complete → Shipped, and you'll get an email at each step. Look it up any time on the Track Order page.
Can I have a different design in the border?
Yes — choose our Center & Border style in the quote tool. You pick one edge-to-edge pattern to fill the center and a different, coordinating pattern to frame the border. It's priced instantly just like our other styles, so there's no consult or waiting — you book it the same way.
Do you offer binding?
Not right now — and that's on purpose. Binding is the most personal finishing step, and most quilters love doing their own (it's where your style really shows). We focus on doing the quilting itself beautifully and send your quilt back trimmed, squared, and ready for you to bind. We may add binding as an option down the road.
Do you do full custom or heirloom quilting?
We specialize in edge-to-edge quilting, and that focus is intentional. There are so many wonderfully talented custom and heirloom longarmers out there — but custom work is slow, and it's a big reason finished tops pile up in closets waiting months (sometimes on a waitlist) for a quilter. Our mission is the opposite: clear the backlog. By doing edge-to-edge beautifully, quickly, and with everything included — and no waitlist — we help you get your hard work off the to-do list and onto beds, couches, and laps where it belongs. For a more elevated look without the custom wait, try our Center & Border style. We don't take on full custom or ruler-work heirloom quilting.
Why are there so few options?
Because choosing a longarmer shouldn't feel like a test. We deliberately keep it simple: one premium batting, one excellent thread, a curated set of designs, and clear all-inclusive pricing — every option is one we'd pick ourselves. Fewer, better choices means no decision fatigue, no surprise upsells, and a faster path to a finished quilt you'll love. If you're an experienced quilter who wants something specific, just reach out before you order.
